Med Tech/ Supervisor

Job Summary
The Med Tech Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within healthcare and senior care facilities, overseeing medication administration, patient care, and medical documentation. This position requires a strong background in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care environments, with a focus on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The Med Tech Supervisor ensures compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and maintains high standards of patient safety and care quality. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills to coordinate caregiving teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate medication administration in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
  • Oversee medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist in training and mentoring Med Tech staff on proper patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Maintain detailed records of patient care activities
  • Ensure adherence to infection control standards and safety procedures within the facility
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
  • Support residents with activities of daily living including mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and behavioral support
  • Manage medication inventories and ensure proper storage and documentation of pharmaceuticals
  • Assist in quality assurance processes to improve patient outcomes and compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care settings is required; experience in working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare environments
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and compliance management
