Med Tech/Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Aide/Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients, particularly in settings such as assisted living facilities for individuals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate a commitment to patient care and safety.

Duties

• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting vital signs and changes in condition.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide support in acute care situations, responding promptly to patient needs.
• Engage with residents, fostering a supportive environment that encourages their well-being.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
• Assist Residents with ADL’s.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Experience in a nursing home or similar setting is advantageous.
• Strong caregiving skills, demonstrating empathy and patience towards residents.
• Ability to administer medication accurately and follow prescribed protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care in an acute care environment is highly valued.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
