Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Aide/Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients, particularly in settings such as assisted living facilities for individuals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate a commitment to patient care and safety.
Duties
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting vital signs and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide support in acute care situations, responding promptly to patient needs.
- Engage with residents, fostering a supportive environment that encourages their well-being.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
- Assist Residents with ADL’s.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience in a nursing home or similar setting is advantageous.
- Strong caregiving skills, demonstrating empathy and patience towards residents.
- Ability to administer medication accurately and follow prescribed protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families.
