Med-Tech/Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Administer medications, and assist with basic care needs
• Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like August Health or Yardi to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
• Observe and report changes in health status or behavior promptly to healthcare professionals, and MOC ensuring timely intervention
• Uphold safety standards by adhering to HIPAA guidelines, maintaining confidentiality of patient records, and following infection control procedures

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with medical terminology, and patient care procedures including hospice or acute care settings
• Hands-on experience working with EMR/EHR systems like August Health or Yardi is preferred
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively support assessments and interventions
• Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Experience in medical documentation, medication administration, catheter care etc
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management to ensure privacy and security of sensitive information

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
