Med Tech/Caregiver Night Shift - 16 Bed Facility

At Bestcare Assisted Living, our staff is responsible for providing the utmost in quality care and services to our clients and their families in our assisted living homes. We are looking for an experienced and independent individual to join our night shift team at our facility Westminster. This night shift position is for three to four night shifts per week, every other weekend included, 7:00PM - 7:00AM.

The successful candidate will receive a $4000 sign on bonus for this position.

Responsibilities:

- The night shift is a solo awake shift, so the individual should have the maturity, independence, and confidence to run the shift by themselves, and hand over responsibilities to the day shift with quality.

- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, attend to individual care needs
- Notify management of changes in condition or adjustments in the level of care
- Assist residents during the late evening, night, and early morning
- Aid in the transition of care to the day shift team at the end of your shift
- Responsible for residents during the night shift, and physically check on them throughout the shift via rounds.
- Responsible for light cleaning / organizing during the shift, ensuring the home stays in compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to Bestcare's safety rules and regulations.
- Provides light snacks / drinks upon request of the residents

Qualifications:

• Dedication to and passion to serve seniors with excellent customer service skills
• Positive attitude, the flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents and the ability to work in a team environment are keys to success
• High School diploma/GED accepted
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Physically fit and capable of helping clients and strong enough to aid in lifting them.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident’s best interest
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

At least one year experience working as a MT or caregiver required. Wages are dependent on qualifications and experience. As part of a small and close knit team, extra shifts and some overtime may be available as well.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
