Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical procedures. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to established protocols. The Medical Technician will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine medical procedures such as vital signs monitoring, and medication administration.
• Assist in patient assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide direct patient care in assisted living setting.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Engage with patients experiencing developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease while providing compassionate support.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with facility policies.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills related to caregiving, geriatrics, , and behavioral health.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a medical office or clinical setting; familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or ECP is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, or home health settings is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients with dementia.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining a high standard of patient service.
