Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech/CNA (Personal Care) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing personalized care to individuals across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of medical procedures and documentation. As a Med Tech/CNA (Personal Care), you will play a vital role in supporting residents' health and well-being while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Personal Care unit open shift:

  • Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR) or medical documentation systems.
  • Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments, implementing personalized care plans.
  • Support patients with tube feeding, catheter care, and other complex medical procedures under supervision of nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems ensuring compliance with healthcare documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with disabilities or chronic conditions.
  • Uphold infection control practices and ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Technician (Med Tech), with current licensure as required by state regulations.
  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings preferred; experience with hospice or senior care is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing procedures including vital signs assessment.
  • Strong caregiving skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing cognitive decline or disabilities.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols related to medication administration and medical procedures.

Pay: $14.90 - $19.50 per hour
