Med Tech/Personal Care Assistant – Full Time
Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med Tech/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our residents. As a Med Tech/PCA, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, compliant, and personalized medication management, and provide essential personal care and emotional support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update resident charts and documentation (physician orders, incident reports, etc.)
- Communicate any changes in resident status to appropriate team members
- Ensure all medication documentation is current and correct, including medication administration forms, physician orders, changes of dosages, etc.
- Maintain a fully stocked and organized medication room, including PRN and OTC medications
- Coordinate medication orders and timely deliveries with partner pharmacies
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers as needed regarding medications and resident needs
- Monitor use of psychotropic medications and ensure alignment with physician guidance and resident care plans
- Control access to the medication room and maintain key security
- Accurately pour, pass, and assist with medications per state guidelines
- Schedule and coordinate physician and medical appointments
- Review communication logs between caregiver shifts to stay up to date
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Provide mobility support and transfers using safe lifting techniques
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
- Engage residents in daily activities and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care teams
- Follow care plans and facility protocols with professionalism and empathy
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in personal care, home health, or assisted living preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and care teams
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Must pass background check and drug screening

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
