Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including long-term care facilities, group homes, and personal care homes. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Perform routine medical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Support meal preparation and assist residents during mealtime, promoting nutritional needs.
• Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transportation.
• Uphold resident rights by fostering a respectful and dignified environment for all individuals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Lift and assist residents as required while ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.

Requirements

• Previous experience in long-term care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients’ needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to lift patients safely and provide physical assistance when necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required for transportation responsibilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all residents.
• Compassionate attitude towards working with people of varying abilities and backgrounds.
