Position Overview:

Huntin’ Fool is seeking a full-time Media Producer to lead the creation, production, and publishing of high-quality video content across our YouTube and media channels. This role is ideal for a self-driven creative who is comfortable owning projects from concept to publication and thrives in a hands-on production environment.

The Media Producer will be responsible for filming and editing in-house and outdoor video content, managing YouTube publishing and scheduling, and supporting ongoing media initiatives including photography, podcasts, and field productions. This individual will play a central role in shaping Huntin’ Fool’s video presence, ensuring consistent output, strong storytelling, and professional production quality.

A successful candidate will be confident operating mirrorless cameras, capturing clean audio, and assembling polished edits with clear narrative flow. They will also manage thumbnails, metadata, and content calendars while collaborating closely with the marketing and content teams. This role offers meaningful creative ownership, long-term growth, and deep involvement in the hunting and outdoor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Production & Editing

  • Film and edit in-house video content including product reviews, educational pieces, and instructional videos
  • Lead outdoor filming efforts including gear reviews, field content, and potential hunt films
  • Ensure all videos maintain strong storytelling, pacing, and communication flow
  • Create compelling, on-brand thumbnails and supporting visual assets
  • Maintain consistent YouTube publishing schedules and communicate progress internally

YouTube Management & Publishing

  • Own and manage YouTube channels for Huntin’ Fool and Gear Fool
  • Upload and publish videos with optimized titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails
  • Coordinate basic SEO strategy for video content
  • Maintain production calendars and meet publishing deadlines
  • Engage with audiences by responding to comments and monitoring performance

Photography & Podcast Support

  • Produce in-house and outdoor product photography as needed
  • Film and edit podcasts to ensure high production quality and smooth delivery

Field Production

  • Film on-location content including gear reviews and outdoor shoots
  • Demonstrate physical ability to hike, carry equipment, and work in varying weather conditions

Autonomy & Collaboration

  • Take projects from start to finish independently
  • Communicate clearly with the marketing team to align priorities and deadlines
  • Maintain organized files, workflows, and production systems

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of mirrorless cameras, lighting, and camera fundamentals (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Proven ability to identify and edit for strong storytelling and viewer engagement
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Physically capable of outdoor filming and field production
  • Genuine interest in media production, content creation, and the hunting industry
  • Experience producing YouTube content or outdoor/action-oriented content
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with YouTube Studio, metadata, and creator tools
  • (Preferred) Background in hunting, outdoor recreation, or related industries
  • (Preferred) Experience with photography or podcast production
