POSITION:
Media Specialist/Elementary Education Teacher (Long-term Substitute)
DATES/HOURS:
Monday-Friday, 8.0 hours per day from January 7, 2026 through February 23, 2026 (dates are approximate and subject to change).
LOCATION:
Countryside Elementary and Highlands Elementary
START DATE:
1/7/2026
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This long-term sub position's primary responsibility will be to teach students in K-5 to be effective users of information and technology through 20 to 30 minute lessons aligned with ITEM standards. In addition, the position will promote a love of literacy through lessons and book check-out.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENT(S):
Library Media Specialist or K-6 Elementary Education license issued through the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
RATE OF PAY:
The wage for this position is $265.81 per day. This is a temporary position.
BENEFITS:
Eligible employees will participate in the state’s pension program, Teachers Retirement Association (TRA). Leave benefits will be applied in accordance with Minnesota law.
