Medicaid Coordinator

The full-time Medicaid coordinator conducts the Medicaid interview as required and processes the Medicaid applications. Aids and assists with Non Magi and Marketplace applicants. Daily review and follow up on Medicaid eligibility issues and coverage lapses. Follow up on all accounts with outstanding balances and pending applications, computer data management, and clerical duties as well. Monthly reporting for disposition on Medicaid pending cases for determination of coverage.

Requires experience working as a CAC certified application counselor, a deputized worker.

HS required and college education preferred.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in order of priority. Typing ability with grammatical accuracy required. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and families. Ability to complete assignments expediently during high volume periods. Hospital third party billing and computer skills preferred. Communicates in a mature and professional manner both verbally and in written forms. Works closely and cooperatively with supervisory staff and co-workers in a team environment.

Pay: $60-68k
