Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background and knowledge in medical insurance reimbursement and denials. Looking for motivated individuals able to manage time efficiently. Must be able to use various payer portals to look up claim status and strong ability to analyze an EOB. Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including follow up of unpaid or incorrectly paid claims, and payment processing.
• Work Clearinghouse Rejections
• Utilize knowledge to identify and resolve delayed claims, exceptions and denials
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10) to ensure proper billing practices.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in billing or payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Communicate with Patients
• Prepare reports on accounts receivable status for management review.

Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of medical A/R processes and procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and billing systems
- Experience with medical collection practices and procedures
- Familiarity with various payer portals

- Strong ability to analyze an EOB
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

- 2 years medical billing and A/R follow up experience required
