Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing patient scheduling, handling communications, and coordinating insurance authorizations. The ideal candidate is professional, efficient, and committed to providing excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the daily calendar
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up with patients as needed
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Request and track referrals and insurance authorizations for all services
  • Ensure all patient authorizations are current and properly documented
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
  • Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and insurance companies
  • Assist with general administrative tasks to support office operations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office or administrative
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficient in computer systems and scheduling software
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
