Medical Administrative Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth and efficient clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include managing patient intake, coordinating appointments, collecting payments, taking vitals, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional patient service.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology, electronic health records, and outpatient clinic support. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting vital signs and updating patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage cancellations or rescheduling requests
  • Prepare examination rooms and support clinical staff with basic procedures such as specimen collection and ketamine administration
  • Maintain accurate medical records, update patient histories, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
  • Handle administrative tasks like verifying insurance details, processing billing information, and managing correspondence with patients and insurance companies

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and medical-surgical documentation practices
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs or assisting with intake procedures in inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred to ensure readiness for emergency situations

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
