Medical Aesthetician | pēkomd toledo

Location: Toledo

Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

Reports To: Clinical Lead

Position Overview: The aesthetician will play a role in our practice by performing cosmetic procedures, managing patient care, and assisting in both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments. The aesthetician will work closely with the plastic surgeons and other aesthetic providers to deliver personalized care plans, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, aesthetic knowledge, and a passion for helping patients achieve their cosmetic and skin goals.

Clinical & Patient Care

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, consultations, and medical histories to determine appropriate aesthetic treatment plans, as well as educate patients on procedures, outcomes, and aftercare.
  • Perform non-invasive aesthetic and skin treatments in accordance with training, certification, and state regulations ( e.g., medical-grade facials, peels, waxing services, dermaplaning, permanent make-up, and skin analyses).
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care, including wound care (specifically for Renuvion and face/neck lift patients), patient education, and follow-up appointments.
  • Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented prior to treatment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical best practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine.

Patient Follow-Up & Continuity of Care

  • Conduct appropriate post-treatment follow-up to assess outcomes, manage complications, and reinforce treatment plans.
  • Respond to patient questions, concerns, and adverse events in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, prescriptions, and follow-up plans accurately within the EMR.
  • Promote long-term patient relationships through education, trust-building, and personalized care.

Collaboration & Team Engagement

  • Actively contribute as a team player, supporting a positive, respectful, and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with medical directors, nurses, estheticians, and front-office staff to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Demonstrate coachability and openness to feedback as part of ongoing clinical and professional development.
  • Support onboarding, training, and mentorship of clinical staff when appropriate.

Business Development & Lead Management

  • Partner with the front office to track and convert leads, including consultation outcomes, treatment plans, and follow-up opportunities.
  • Document treatment recommendations and patient goals to support future bookings and retention.
  • Participate in patient education, events, and initiatives that support practice growth and brand awareness.
  • Maintain awareness of individual performance metrics, such as consultation conversion rates and patient retention, as applicable.
  • Assist in marketing and retention initiatives when needed.
  • Participate in company events as needed - this includes evenings and weekends.
  • Coordinate skincare logistics for events, giveaways, and promotions.
  • Communicate and negotiate with skincare representatives in regard to company events.
  • Curate before and after photos as needed.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Maintain active Nurse Practitioner licensure, national certification, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority as required.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing aesthetic medicine and advanced practice nursing.
  • Participate in continuing education to remain current on aesthetic trends, techniques, and evidence-based practice.
  • Uphold the organization’s standards of professionalism, ethics, and brand representation at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with skincare reps to stay up-to-date on skincare education and newly released products.

Qualifications:

  • Cosmetology or Aesthetician License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
