Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

About Us:

East Valley Diabetes & Endocrinology is seeking a detail-oriented Medical AR Specialist to join our team and ensure the efficient processing of claims and collections.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and follow up on outstanding medical claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Review and resolve denied or underpaid claims by working with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
• Process appeals and resubmissions for denied claims.
• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
• Call and collect patient balances.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with the billing team to improve AR processes and reduce outstanding balances.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in medical billing software
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of insurance claim processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
