Education and Experience:

Must have high school diploma or GED

Must have completed an accredited medical assistant training program (certificate, diploma, or associate's degree)

Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Job Purpose:
-
Responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks, supporting healthcare providers by preparing patients, taking vitals (blood pressure, temperature)

Must record histories, administrating medications/injections (under supervision)

Will collect lab specimens, billing/insurance paperwork, ensuring a smooth patient flow in clinics and offices
Job Function:

Will prepare patients for appointments

Will assist doctors/nurses during appointments

Will collect Specimen & Testing

Responsible for administering injections, immunizations, and medications as directed

Will answer phones, schedule appointments, manage patient check-in/out

Responsible for handling insurance forms; and updating and maintaining Electronic Health Records (EHR)
