Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, treatment notes, and ICD coding for billing purposes.
  • Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in diagnosis within outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and billing; familiarity with ICD coding is a plus.
  • Ability to perform intake assessments, take vital signs accurately, and support medication administration protocols safely.
  • Previous clinic experience in outpatient settings or hospital experience supporting inpatient care is required.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric ICU (PICU).
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or hospital emergency departments while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
