Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout the visit
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, specimen collection.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical history updates
  • Support medical procedures in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine by setting up equipment and assisting during exams or minor procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or hospital settings, with familiarity in family medicine.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and proficiency in documenting patient information accurately
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration and specimen collection
  • Strong communication skills to provide excellent patient service and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Previous clinic experience a plus,knowledge of basic medications,diagnosis codes.
