Are you ready to step into a rewarding role that truly makes a difference? Fourth Street Clinic is on the lookout for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team! In this fast-paced position, you'll provide direct patient care and assist our providers in delivering a range of services, including medical, behavioral health, specialty, and mobile clinic offerings. Your contributions are vital in improving patient outcomes for individuals experiencing homelessness and other underserved populations. To thrive as a Medical Assistant at Fourth Street Clinic, you'll need a blend of essential skills and qualities that support our mission. A high school diploma or equivalent is a must, along with effective communication and interpersonal abilities that foster trust with patients and colleagues alike. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail will help you prioritize tasks in our fast-paced environment. You must be able to remain calm and effective, especially in high-stress situations, while meeting the physical demands of the role.
An AHA BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire is required, with training provided. Preferred qualifications include training or certification as a Medical Assistant or EMT, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience in community health or outreach. If you have strong customer service skills and align with our values, you'll excel in this role!
