Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical tasks. Duties:
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and preparing patients for examinations
- Assist healthcare professionals with procedures and treatments
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Conduct standard point of care testing
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide education to patients on procedures, medications, and self-care instructions

Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Some familiarity with coding systems for medical procedures and diagnoses
- Experience working in a primary care office setting or urgent care is preferred
- Ability to accurately take vital signs and perform basic medical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- We are open Mon-Fri from 800 am - 7 pm and on Saturday mornings in the winter.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
