Medical Assistant

Position Summary

Paragon Medical Group of Ohio is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team. This role combines hands-on patient care with front desk and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and committed to delivering a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities
Clinical Duties (Approximately 70%)

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and monitor patients during therapy
• Set up, apply, and safely operate treatment equipment (EWOT, vibration platform, E-Stim, etc.)
• Clean and sanitize treatment equipment and patient areas
• Perform phlebotomy
• Assist providers during patient visits, including documentation and transcribing as needed
• Prepare treatment rooms and patient charts prior to appointments
• Collect and upload patient demographic information and required forms into EMR
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records
• Monitor clinic inventory and notify management when supplies are low

Front Desk & Administrative Duties (Approximately 20%)

• Greet patients and ensure proper check-in procedures
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments accurately
• Coordinate ride-share services for patients when necessary
• Answer and route phone calls professionally
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Communicate patient arrivals and updates to providers

Additional Responsibilities (Approximately 10%)

• Attend required training sessions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and clinic standards

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential in good standing
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and remain professional under pressure

Preferred:

• Phlebotomy certification (not required if CMA)
• Prior experience in a clinical setting
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
• First Aid training

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach regularly
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity to operate clinical equipment
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
