About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to become a key part of our clinical team. You’ll support physicians in delivering high-quality care through a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms
• Document patient chief complaints, medical history, and medications in the EMR
• Assist with dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, ED&C, cryotherapy, laser treatments, and cosmetic services
• Perform suture removals, dressing changes, venipuncture, and administer injections
• Educate patients about treatment plans and post-procedure care
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding prescriptions, prior authorizations, and clinical concerns under provider supervision
• Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments
• Transcribe physician notes and input data into the EMR system accurately
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training
• Dermatology experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with Modernizing Medicine is a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
