Position Overview:

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our rapidly expanding functional medicine clinic. This isn’t just a "check-in" job; you are the face of our patient experience and the engine of our clinical workflow.

As we grow, we need a versatile professional who can pivot seamlessly between a multi-provider schedule. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience from the moment a patient walks in until they check out, ensuring that multiple providers stay on schedule and patients feel deeply cared for.

Responsibilities:

1.Patient Reception: Take and record the patient's vitals and settle them in the exam room to await the Doctor.

2. Phone and Email Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to emails promptly, and provide clear information in a warm and professional manner.

3. Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, update information as needed and ensure confidentiality. Send patient’s their testing and imaging results as they come back, and schedule their follow-ups to review.

4. Office Maintenance: Keep the reception area organized, tidy, and well-stocked with relevant materials. Keep plants watered and take periodic inventory of medical & non-medical supplies to be ordered.

5. Patient Education: Provide basic information about our practice, services, pricing, and practitioners.

Qualifications:

• Pre-med and pre-professional students welcome to apply
• High school diploma or equivalent, additional in-office management is a plus, but not required.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with some medical terminology and vital signs equipment.
• No insurance billing training necessary
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
