Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, making it essential for candidates to have experience in various medical settings such as urgent care, outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
• Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic or hospital environment.
• Coordinate patient flow to optimize efficiency during appointments.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Skills

• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation. We use Athena.
• Strong understanding of basic life support (BLS) protocols.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, intake assessments, and vital sign monitoring.
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
