Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This part-time position will assist and work side by side with our full-time Medical Assistant, during the busiest hours of our clinic day, which is 8:30am-1:30p. This position would have a max of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, with some days being less hours, depending on patient load.

In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations for our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient administrative support.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Support clinical staff with procedures such as therapeutic Botox injections , along with performing occasional injection medication administration.
• Manage electronic health records (NextGen) accurately by documenting within patient encounters, and updating medical histories.
• Manage incoming prescription refill requests.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient records efficiently.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
