Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in various medical settings, including outpatient facilities, urgent care, and trauma centers.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing support.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.

Skills

• Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
• Experience in outpatient settings or familiarity with urgent care environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, particularly in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
• Familiarity with dermatology practices or emergency medicine is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit.
