Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and prepare them for examinations
• Assist healthcare providers during patient exams by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary supplies
• Collect and process laboratory specimens accurately following safety protocols
• Maintain organized patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently
• Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals with other healthcare providers
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for each patient encounter
• Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, instructions, and follow-up care to foster understanding and comfort

Experience

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse patient populations
• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems or similar digital tools is advantageous
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is welcomed
