Medical Assistant

We are a well-established, highly respected busy Rheumatology practice in Las Vegas, NV Currently we have a FULL-TIME position available for a caring, compassionate, dedicated Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a medical office, and can perform both front and back-office duties. Bilingual (fluent Spanish) is a plus.

Duties

• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Educate patients on proper medication use and provide instructions for at-home care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
• The ability to travel to other offices as needed

Experience

• Ability to multitask in a busy environment
• General knowledge of front and back-office operations
• Knowledge of government and NV insurances, HIPAA, OSHA, and insurance requirements
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding procedures
• Experience with EMR systems and platforms
• Reliable transportation
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service, telephone and computer skills.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times
• Perform miscellaneous job duties as requested.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program

Clinic Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
