Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant to join our team in San Antonio. This role will support a busy spine physician with a focus on personal injury and legal-related case support. This position includes a mix of in-office work at our Lockhill/1604 location and remote/work-from-home when there is no active patient in clinic.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, highly organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly and assist with patient intake and front office procedures, including check-in, check-out, collecting medical histories, and verifying insurance information.
• Assist physician with patient-related and case-related administrative support
• Help manage personal injury cases and related documentation
• Coordinate and manage scheduling for MRI/imaging, office visits, follow-ups, outpatient procedures, and surgeries.
• Organize, track, and follow up on medical records and requests
• Communicate with patients, attorneys, case managers, and other offices as needed
• Assist with scheduling, chart prep, and coordination of office tasks
• Support physician with general clinical and non-clinical workflow needs
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information
• Float between in-office duties and remote support responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant experience required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and professionalism
• Comfortable learning new systems and workflows
• Able to work independently and stay on top of tasks
• Experience with personal injury, legal work, medical records, or orthopedic/spine offices is a plus, but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
