Medical Assistant

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. *Duties* - Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures - Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records systems - Assist with patient education and communication regarding treatment plans - Handle front office duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and answering phones *Qualifications* - Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program - Proficiency in medical terminology and basic understanding of coding - Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or PICU is preferred - Ability to administer medications, including inhalation treatments - Knowledge of geriatric patient care and basic life support (BLS) procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.41 - $18.26 per hour
