Arthur Direct Care Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Plebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both English and Spanish, with a strong ability to communicate with diverse patient populations. This position involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient healthcare experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Perform phlebotomy and administer electrocardiograms (EKGs).
- Gather and document detailed medical histories.
- Clearly explain treatment procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and assist physicians during the process.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and conduct basic lab tests.
- Prepare and administer medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections.
- Facilitate prescription refills as directed by healthcare providers.
Administrative Duties:
- Utilize computer applications, including electronic medical records (EMR), to enhance administrative tasks and workflows.
- Check in and Check out patients
- Schedule appointments
- Answer telephone inquiries and warmly welcome patients upon arrival.
- Perform insurance eligibility and benefits checks.
- Update and file medical records, complete insurance forms, and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Minimum 6 months - 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
- Training in phlebotomy
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in medical history-taking and patient documentation.
- Competence in collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests following standard protocols.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Insurance verification and preauthorization experience is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with the ability to translate for patients (preferred).
Required Certification/Education:
- Certified Phlebotomist, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (Preferred).
Experience:
- 6 months - 1 Year (Preferred).
