Medical Assistant

Avant Dermatology & Aesthetics is seeking a full-time Dermatology Medical Assistant who is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality experience for every patient.

Schedule (Required – No Exceptions):

• Monday – Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

No weekends - No nights

Hiring target date May 2026

Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will support both clinical and administrative functions of the practice. You will work closely with providers to deliver excellent patient care while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
• Room patients, obtain medical histories, and document accurately in EMR
• Assist providers with medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures
• Perform tasks such as injections, suture removal, specimen collection, and surgical setup (based on training and scope)
• Educate patients on treatments, medications, and aftercare
• Maintain and sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines

Administrative Duties:

• Answer and manage phone calls, messages, and pharmacy requests
• Document all patient interactions accurately
• Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and tracking cosmetic usage
• Maintain working knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and pricing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant on-the-job training
• Dermatology experience (preferred)
• Certification (CMA/RMA) is a plus
