Medical Assistant

This is a great opportunity for a medical assistant who feels stuck or burned out in traditional healthcare and wants to be part of a more active, growth-focused clinic offering regenerative and wellness-based care.

Birmingham Health is a high-performance, patient-first clinic focused on helping people move from “sick care” to real health through non-surgical, non-narcotic, and root-cause care. We combine chiropractic, therapies, and medical services to get patients real results.

We’re looking for someone who wants hands-on growth, direct mentorship from the owner and doctor, and a meaningful role within a small, driven team.

Role Overview:

In this role, you’ll help keep the clinic running smoothly, support providers, and make sure patients have a great experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and prepare them for exams and treatments
  • Assist with vitals & therapies (rehab, soft tissue work, laser, and other modalities)
  • Support providers during exams and procedures
  • Document accurately in EHR systems
  • Set up and clean treatment areas
  • Help guide patients through their care plans
  • Support patient flow and clinic organization

During slower times, you’ll help with patient follow-ups, scheduling, and other tasks that keep the clinic growing and running well. We don’t have “stand around” time here.

What this job is like:

  • This is a fast-paced environment where everyone stays engaged and helps where needed. We value people who take initiative, stay productive, and work well with a team.

This is a great if you are:

  • Someone who likes staying busy and being productive
  • Reliable and take responsibility for your work
  • Comfortable talking with patients and making them feel taken care of
  • Open to feedback and willing to learn
  • A team player who jumps in to help when needed

This would NOT be a good fit for someone if you are:

  • Delegate work to other teammates
  • Looking for a slow-paced or low-responsibility job
  • Someone who needs to be told what to do at all times
  • Not comfortable working with patients or in a team setting
  • Easily overwhelmed in a fast-moving environment

Experience:

  • Medical Assistant preferred, not required
  • Phlebotomist preferred, not required
  • Chiropractic, rehab or wellness clinic experience is a plus
  • EHR experience preferred

Compensation and Growth:

  • You can actually make more here....but actually grow, learn, and be part of something meaningful.
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Bonus opportunities based on performance
  • Opportunity to grow into more advanced roles over time

Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 5 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, 2:00 - 5 PM
  • Friday 9-12

Daily team huddle at 8:40 AM. Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to perform.

This is a great fit if you enjoy staying busy, taking ownership of your work, and being part of a team that’s focused on helping patients improve.

This would not be a good fit if you prefer a slower-paced role or are looking for minimal responsibility.
