Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. Pay range will be evaluated based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with administering injections and other clinical procedures, including fitting braces. (Training provided)
• Will be trained to use ultrasound machine to assist with injections.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs(manually), medical histories, confirming medications, and documenting information accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Responsible for prepping patient charts daily.
• Will be required to count patient medication / ITP check (Training provided)
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
• Knowledge of medications, and medical-surgical procedures is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge to assist in patient assessments effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
• Travel to our Alton location is required when needed for coverage.
• Hours are 7am-5pm Monday through Thursday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
