Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within a Direct Primary Care practice. This position requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care by performing clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
• Support direct primary care practice by preparing patients for examinations, documenting medical histories, and ensuring all necessary information is collected.
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation.
• Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance the overall patient experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in outpatient settings.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in patient care.

Skills

• Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medication administration protocols.
• Strong background in internal medicine practices is beneficial.
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
• Ability to provide both clinical assistance and administrative support effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of patient care.
