Position Description:
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. The MA plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations and delivering exceptional patient experience. This non-exempt role combines direct patient care with front-of-house and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality, personalized treatment.
The MA works closely with the Clinic Manager and Medical Provider to support efficient workflows, maintain clinical standards, and promote positive patient outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Competencies: Strong clinical skills, including independent and accurate phlebotomy.
Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficient with EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and point-of-sale systems.
Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and clinic safety.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on patient care and service excellence.
Required Education/Experience : Education and Experience -
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma required.
Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification required.
One year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role.
One year of medical assisting or phlebotomy experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in a weight loss, nutrition, fitness, or med spa setting preferred.
Knowledge of metabolic health, including insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Frequent direct patient interaction in a clinical setting.
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and moving throughout the clinic day.
Regular use of computer systems and phone communication.
May be required to lift or move clinic supplies up to 25 lbs.
