Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. The MA plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations and delivering exceptional patient experience. This non-exempt role combines direct patient care with front-of-house and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality, personalized treatment.
The MA works closely with the Clinic Manager and Medical Provider to support efficient workflows, maintain clinical standards, and promote positive patient outcomes.
Essential Job Functions

Perform phlebotomy on all patients, ensuring proper collection, labeling, and handling of lab samples.

Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, educating patients on self-administration as needed.

Constitute medications and prepare them for patient pickup according to clinic protocols.

Triage patients, collecting and recording vital signs and health metrics.

Complete InBody scans and other metabolic health assessments to support patient care plans.

Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize clinic efficiency.

Greet, check in, and check out all patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, and text.

Handle inbound and outbound calls, following scripts and protocols to ensure consistent communication.

Ring up retail purchases and reconcile the point-of-sale system at the end of each day.

Scan, file, and maintain patient paperwork and clinic documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.

Track inventory of medical supplies, ensuring timely reordering and proper stock levels.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the waiting area, front desk, restroom, and all clinic common areas.

Collaborate with the Clinic Manager and Medical Provider to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient care.

Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma required.

Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification required.

One year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role.

One year of medical assisting or phlebotomy experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in a weight loss, nutrition, fitness, or med spa setting preferred.

Knowledge of metabolic health, including insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, is a plus.
