Medical Assistant

Job description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. This role is essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring a smooth, patient-centered experience in our medical office. Responsibilities:

• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform patient intake: gather medical history, take vital signs, and update EHR.
• Administer medications and immunizations under physician direction and document accordingly.
• Maintain accurate patient data using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients about medications, immunization schedules, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ensure proper coding and compliance (including ICD coding).
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Experience in internal medicine and/or pediatrics is a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, immunization protocols, clinical procedures, and EHR systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
