Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. This role is essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring a smooth, patient-centered experience in our medical office. Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform patient intake: gather medical history, take vital signs, and update EHR.
- Administer medications and immunizations under physician direction and document accordingly.
- Maintain accurate patient data using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients about medications, immunization schedules, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Ensure proper coding and compliance (including ICD coding).
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Experience in internal medicine and/or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, immunization protocols, clinical procedures, and EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
