Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is a position for our satellite office in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our physician and medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. The position requires excellent communication skills, as communication with our main office is a vital part to succeed in this position. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Check Patients in and out
• Assist healthcare provider with patient examinations and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and supplies.
• Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and follow-up care.
• Must be able to work independently.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and processes related to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with patients, co-workers and families.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.16 - $24.35 per hour
