Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in various settings such as clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient service, along with the ability to assist in various procedures including X-rays and other diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
• Support the healthcare team in managing clinic operations effectively.
• Stay informed about hospital medicine practices, geriatrics, and other relevant specialties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care protocols.
• Familiarity with urgent care environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced settings.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
• Understanding of hospital medicine practices is beneficial.
• Experience working in operating rooms (OR) or knowledge of related procedures is an asset.
