Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Perform intake assessments, including EKGs, drawing blood, recording vital signs and medical history
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, including ICD coding
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
• Make referrals, schedule patients specialist appointments.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient record management
• Knowledge of geriatrics protocols
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care
