Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits.
- Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray assistance, and basic life support when needed.
- Perform basic physiology and anatomy assessments to help healthcare providers understand patient conditions better.
- Document patient interactions accurately in EHR systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure compliance and billing accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols; assist with specimen collection and processing as required.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinating referrals for specialty care such as geriatrics or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit).
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to support precise documentation and communication.
- Experience working in dermatology clinics, or other specialty practices.
- Proficiency with scribing for Medical Providers.
- Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, billing support, and patient record management.
- Ability to perform intake assessments efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient service skills that foster trust and comfort.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols along with basic life support certification to respond effectively during emergencies.

Pay: $21.73 - $29.78 per hour
