This job requires Thursdays to work at our PUNTA GORDA location. Other days are in FORT MYERS.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring exceptional patient care . This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in patient service and has experience in both clinical and administrative tasks. Retirees encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and giving injections.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure a smooth operation of the practice.
Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, educating patients on treatment plans, and ensuring their comfort during visits.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar required.
Familiarity with outpatient care practices is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
Willingness to learn new skills related to OR settings and inpatient care.
