Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain past and current medical information
• Handle all administrative and clinical duties in a timely manner
• Perform clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations
• Communicate with patients regarding lab results
• Refill patient prescriptions
• Document office visits/procedures and verbal orders in EHR
• Maintain stock of medicine and medical supplies as necessary
• Administer medications and/or injections
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant
• 1 year minimum experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding and EHR
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player
• Must be friendly and courteous

Compensation:

• Based on job related experience.

• Sterilizing instruments
• Administering medications

• 4PM
