Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Front Desk, where you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care across diverse medical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in outpatient clinics to work with children and adults. As a Medical Assistant, you will be the frontline support for physicians ensuring smooth operations while providing compassionate service to patients. Your expertise will contribute to a positive patient experience and efficient clinical workflows in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Our office is located on the border of Long Island and Queens area and it is accessible by bus and LIRR.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with accuracy
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including specimen collection
• Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently
• Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure the cleanliness of the office
• Perform administrative duties like scheduling appointments, managing ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating patient records in compliance with privacy regulations

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diverse specialties including pediatrics and adults medicine.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in documentation practices for intake notes, vital signs, and ICD coding.
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across varied patient populations
