Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with physical assessments.
  • Support physicians during procedures by handling instruments, applying dressings, and managing supplies efficiently.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, collecting specimens for lab testing, and operating X-ray equipment when necessary.
  • Manage patient intake processes, update Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately, and document patient encounters thoroughly.
  • Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining treatments, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in documentation practices related to ICD coding and intake procedures.
  • Experience working in specialized environments like dermatology clinics, Geriatrics wards, or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform clinical duties including medication administration, vital signs measurement, X-ray operation, and basic medical-surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
