Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients in various medical settings.

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00, Friday 7:30-12:00

Duties:
- Assist physicians and nurses in patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics

Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and emergency medicine protocols
- Familiarity with coding practices for billing purposes
- Prior experience in clinic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
