Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology, with experience in a clinical or hospital setting. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient service and supporting healthcare providers in delivering effective care, particularly in internal medicine and dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
• Perform basic clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and conducting preliminary assessments.
• Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurately entered into electronic health systems.
• Support coding processes for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the clinic or hospital.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or operating room (OR) to adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
• Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with coding practices related to internal medicine and dermatology is a plus.
• Proficient in medication administration techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
