Medical Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Medical Assistant to become a part of a premier medical practice at BIOEVOLVE, San Diego Orthobiologics and Sports Center in Encinitas, CA. This is a concierge style medical facility specializing in Regenerative Medicine for Orthopedic Conditions.

Responsibilities:

· Direct patient care

· Patient intake, review of medical history and information pertaining to the visit

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical records (EMR) system

· Acquiring vital signs

· Scribing for the physician during patient visits

· Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments

· Medication administration

· Assisting the physician with medical procedures

· Utilization of equipments such as Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Centrifuge, O2, Shockwave and other devices in office.

· Phlebotomy and lab processing

· Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care instructions

· Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care

· Inventory and stocking of medical supplies

· Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant or other equivalent or related field. Experience in Orthopedics and Phlebotomy preferred.
• Experience in using EMR systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a cutting-edge, concierge-type environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality services
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology
• Reliable
• Able to work independently, proactively and collaboratively with the rest of the team
• Able to take direction from the physicians and management
• Able to work a 40hr work week
• BLS certification
